The Week in Review: Top 4 Questions Left Unanswered by House Republicans

It’s Friday, and Election Day is fast-approaching. This also marks yet another week during which House Republicans continue to support and stand by their nominee, despite his campaign’s conspiracy theories, hateful remarks and ugly attacks on large groups of Americans.

Reflecting on the week, there are four questions that House Republicans in competitive swing districts, should be forced to answer (but probably won’t):

  • BIRTHER CONSPIRACY: Should Donald Trump apologize for stoking the incredibly racist conspiracy theory that President Obama was not born in Hawaii?
  • DEPLORABLES: Given that KKK leader David Duke, Jared Taylor, Carl Paladino, and Orly Taitz have endorsed Donald Trump, can you admit that at least some of Donald Trump’s supporters are ‘deplorable’?
  • ANTI-SEMITISM: Do you agree with Donald Trump’s son and top campaign surrogate that it’s okay to make jokes about the Holocaust and “warming the gas chambers”?
  • ECONOMIC COLLAPSE: Given that yesterday was the 8-year anniversary of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, how do you explain to families hit hard by the 2008 economic crisis that Donald Trump was cheering on a collapse of the housing market?
