| Central Pennsylvanians are reading and watching a wave of news coverage highlighting Janelle Stelson’s plan to lower housing costs.
Speaking at a press conference in Carlisle, Janelle unveiled her plan “to lower housing costs and eliminate tariffs she says raises prices on lumber and drywall,” and to bolster a “ban on Wall Street buying up single family homes.”
Janelle’s plan stands in stark contrast to Scott Perry, who was the only member of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation – Democratic or Republican – to vote against a bipartisan law aimed at addressing the housing crisis.

Stelson: Including its ban on hedge funds and its ban on Wall Street buying up single family homes and pushing further to make sure starter homes go to families.
MacFarlane: As Janelle Stelson tries to win the PA-10 district, she is leaning hard on the issue of crises, affordability, specifically housing prices in an area where it’s difficult to find available homes… She’s emphasizing that the Republican incumbent she’s trying to oust, Scott Perry, didn’t vote for that bipartisan housing affordability law.
Stelson: [Costs] are everything. People tell me every day how they cannot afford things they once could afford… it’s really reached a crisis point… it’s the groceries, the utilities, hopefully the roof over your head if you have one, and now gas because of the war in Iran that Representative Scott Perry has backed repeatedly…. They can barely survive, let alone thrive.
