In delivering the deciding vote on House Republicans’ Tax Scam, David Valadao proved he is nothing but a liar – full stop.
VALADAO LIE #1: “I will not support a final reconciliation bill that risks leaving [my constituents] behind.”
And scrambling to justify his vote…
VALADAO LIE #2: “This bill honors my commitment to protect Medicaid for our most vulnerable populations.”
VALADAO LIE #3: “The reality is…this isn’t going to change anything for you at all. For those who are able-bodied, no dependents and you choose not to make that effort to go to work, get a job, go to school…yeah, you’re probably going to be affected at that point…It’s not an unfair ask.”
VALADAO LIE #4: “‘No one’s gonna be kicked off of anything. What’s gonna happen is is if people want to continue to be on, they have to go and start looking for work, the ones who are able bodied.”
REALITY: As a direct result of this bill, more than 61,000 people in California’s 22nd Congressional District will be kicked off their health insurance.
