In delivering the deciding vote on House Republicans’ Tax Scam, Ken Calvert proved he is nothing but a liar – full stop.
CALVERT LIE #1: “I am committed to protecting Medicaid benefits for Americans who rely on the program, including children, mothers, and the disabled.”
And scrambling to justify his vote…
CALVERT LIE #2: “I have made it clear throughout this process that I would not support cuts to Medicaid for seniors, children, mothers, and the disabled. The One Big Beautiful Bill protects these populations and does NOT cut Medicaid for seniors, children, mothers, and the disabled. The bill makes NO changes to Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits.”
REALITY: As a direct result of this bill, more than 35,000 people in California’s 41st Congressional District will be kicked off their health insurance.
