WHERE DOES JIM DESMOND STAND? Southern Californians Going Uninsured Due to Expiration of ACA Tax Credits

KFF poll finds majority of Americans blame GOP for high costs

House Republicans’ refusal to extend the enhanced ACA tax credits has triggered a sharp rise in premiums, leaving Southern California families with impossible choices. According to new reports, a staggering majority of ACA enrollees are now cutting back on food, utilities, and other essentials just to afford their monthly premiums.

As premiums skyrocket, the number of uninsured Californians is climbing for the first time in years, erasing a decade of progress in national health coverage.

Darrell Issa did that, and his handpicked predecessor has been silent on the damage. CA-48 voters deserve to know: would Jim Desmond support extending ACA tax credits or sell out Southern California families?

For hardworking California families, the choice between a doctor’s visit and a meal is no longer a hypothetical – it is a daily reality that will be answered on Election Day.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Jim Desmond would bring more of the same, bending the knee to Donald Trump and failing to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits. Southern Californians deserve to know where he stands.”
