Yesterday, President Biden signed a historic, bipartisan spending bill into law – greenlighting critical funding to support our democratic ally Ukraine, while cutting costs for hardworking American families and investing in security at home.
Thanks to the advocacy of New Mexico’s Democratic delegation, New Mexico is benefitting from the spending bill in a big way: the state is set to receive critical investments, including millions for local law enforcement and safety personnel.
But once again, if it had been up to one New Mexico lawmaker, none of these programs would receive funding: Yvette Herrell voted against funding for New Mexico police departments, border patrol and first responders, including:
