Today, the Biden Administration announced $16.4 billion to upgrade tracks, improve travel times, and reduce delays for Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor. The funding is being provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Democrats passed to deliver real results for families and workers across New York.
Meanwhile, House Republicans are actively working to derail investments and slash Amtrak’s budget by 64%, with criminally-indicted George Santos enabling their far-right policy agenda that will threaten jobs and make life worse for New Yorkers.

“George Santos is facing twenty-three federal indictments and wasted weeks electing a new speaker who promptly tried to slash billions from critical New York infrastructure. We have one question for Santos: how long until he takes credit for funding delivered by Democrats?”
