Eighty-nine years after it was established, Social Security is bringing dignity and peace of mind to Kansans
Eighty-nine years after Social Security was created, House Republicans are trying to cut Kansas seniors’ hard-earned benefits. Prasanth Reddy, who has been bankrolled by Mike Johnson and the most extreme members of his party, will be right there with them if elected.
Additionally, House Republicans on the Appropriations Committee voted to cut nearly half a billion dollars from the Social Security Administration, which would close field offices, extend wait times, and delay disability claims nationwide.
Sharice Davids knows how critical Social Security is for Kansas seniors; that’s why she’s working to protect it and standing up to any extreme efforts to gut it.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Prasanth Reddy won’t stand up for Kansas seniors because he is all in on House Republicans’ plans to cut Social Security and deny seniors their hard-earned benefits. Voters know Sharice Davids is protecting Social Security, which is why they will re-elect her in November.”
