| It’s officially been two months since Tom Kean Jr. last voted in Congress on March 5th. The New York Mets had yet to lose a baseball game, and the average price for a gallon of gas in New Jersey was $3.14.
New Jersey voters still don’t know where their congressman is and why he has continued to trade stocks in office while missing votes in Washington.
Here’s what we do know: Democrats are gaining ground in NJ-07 while Kean Jr. is MIA. The New Jersey Globe reports that last month, Democrats added 321 new registrants in the district while Republicans only added 17.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Tom Kean Jr. has left his constituents in the dark for two whole months, missing votes in Washington while continuing to play the stock market. Democrats are gaining ground and will flip this seat in November.”
