White House Economic Advisor, Larry Kudlow: “I don’t believe there’s systemic racism in the U.S. I’m not gonna go into a long riff on it.”
At a press conference on Wednesday, White House Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow said, “I don’t believe there’s systemic racism in the U.S.,” when asked about Black unemployment in the United States. He added, “I’m not gonna go into a long riff on it.”
Kudlow’s comments come as House Republicans signal their opposition to Congressional Democrats’ legislation to combat police violence against Black Americans. Do House Republicans agree with the White House that there is no systemic racism in the United States?
Statement From DCCC Spokesperson Chris Taylor:
“Hundreds of thousands of Americans are marching in the streets to peacefully protest police violence against African Americans. But Washington Republicans won’t even admit that systemic racism exists in America? House Republicans already stood by the President’s attacks on a 75-year-old man assaulted by police officers in Buffalo. If they’re serious about police reform, they’ll call out these ignorant comments from the White House.”
