Giménez and Salazar voted against uncovering the truth about January’s fatal attack on the Capitol
Today, Carlos Giménez and María Elvira Salazar voted to stop a bipartisan commission from uncovering the truth about how the violent attack on our democracy happened.
With this vote, Giménez and Salazar are cowering to extremists and turning their backs on our democracy in an attempt to cover up the truth.
What are they so determined to hide?
“Instead of working to find out how a violent mob broke into the U.S. Capitol and put the lives of members, staff, Capitol Police, and the Vice President in grave danger, Carlos Giménez and María Elvira Salazar are working to make sure the truth never sees the light of day,” said DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola. “Their caucus has clearly found common cause with extremists and insurrectionists, and the people of FL-26 and FL-27 deserve better than this dangerous hyper-partisan effort to block the truth.”
