Far-right extremist pledges to donate over a quarter million dollars to committee responsible for re-electing Van Orden
Today, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the far-right conspiracy theorist and anti-Semitic congresswoman who called for states to secede from the United States, pledged to donate $275,000 to the NRCC, House Republicans’ official campaign arm responsible for re-electing Derrick Van Orden.
Kevin McCarthy has already shown how dependent he is on Marjorie Taylor Greene, openly embracing Greene into leadership and as a key advisor. Now, it appears Van Orden will also be indebted to one of the most dangerous legislators walking the halls of Congress today.
Will Derrick Van Orden accept or refuse NRCC money now that it is knowingly coming from Marjorie Taylor Greene?
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Derrick Van Orden’s re-election efforts will likely be funded by an anti-Semitic extremist who helped incite a coup and called for states to secede. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s toxic extremism is what voters rejected in 2022, and it’s alarming that Van Orden will be indebted to her if he willingly accepts funds she provided.”
