Will Greedy Garcia Return Money from Indicted Child Sex Trafficker?

Fourth donor to Rep. Mike Garcia accused of sexual violence

On Thursday, Mike Garcia’s donor Anton Lazzaro was arrested after being indicted on five counts of child sex trafficking, one count of attempted child sex trafficking, and three counts of obstruction of justice. But Greedy Garcia has yet to condemn his donor’s heinous alleged crimes or return the hundreds of dollars in campaign contributions he accepted from this alleged child sex trafficker.

Statement from Adrian Eng-Gastelum, DCCC Spokesman: 

“Greedy Garcia should return the money he got from his accused pedophile financial backer. Anton Lazzarro is only the latest in a long line of accused sex predator donors financing Greedy Garcia’s campaigns, including Steve Wynn and Alex Kozinski.”

Donations from alleged sex predators to Garcia include:

  • $500 from Big Tent Republicans, a PAC controlled and run by Anton Lazarro, who was arrested on August 12 after being indicted for five counts of child sex trafficking.

  • $5,800 from Steve Wynn, the disgraced casino mogul who was accused of a decades-long pattern of pressuring his employees to perform sex acts on him.

  • $1,000 from Texas Red, the Leadership PAC of Rep. Ronny Jackson, who according to a report from the Inspector General of the Department of Defense made sexual comments about a woman subordinate.

  • $400 this election cycle from Alex Kozinski, who resigned in disgrace from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after multiple former clerks and junior staffers accused him of sexual misconduct.
