Far-right extremist pledges to donate over a quarter million dollars to committee responsible for re-electing Calvert
Today, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the far-right conspiracy theorist and anti-Semitic congresswoman who called for states to secede from the United States, pledged to donate $275,000 to the NRCC, House Republicans’ official campaign arm responsible for re-electing Ken Calvert.
Kevin McCarthy has already shown how dependent he is on Marjorie Taylor Greene, openly embracing Greene into leadership and as a key advisor. Now, it appears Calvert will also be indebted to one of the most dangerous legislators walking the halls of Congress today.
Will Ken Calvert accept or refuse NRCC money now that it is knowingly coming from Marjorie Taylor Greene?
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Ken Calvert’s re-election efforts will likely be funded by an anti-Semitic extremist who helped incite a coup and called for states to secede. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s toxic extremism is what voters rejected in 2022, and it’s alarming that Calvert will be indebted to her if he willingly accepts funds she provided.”
