Far-right extremist pledges to donate over a quarter million dollars to committee responsible for re-electing Steel
Today, Marjorie Taylor Greene, the far-right conspiracy theorist and anti-Semitic congresswoman who called for states to secede from the United States, pledged to donate $275,000 to the NRCC, House Republicans’ official campaign arm responsible for re-electing Michelle Steel.
Kevin McCarthy has already shown how dependent he is on Marjorie Taylor Greene, openly embracing Greene into leadership and as a key advisor. Now, it appears Steel will also be indebted to one of the most dangerous legislators walking the halls of Congress today.
Will Michelle Steel accept or refuse NRCC money now that it is knowingly coming from Marjorie Taylor Greene?
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Michelle Steel’s re-election efforts will likely be funded by an anti-Semitic extremist who helped incite a coup and called for states to secede. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s toxic extremism is what voters rejected in 2022, and it’s alarming that Steel will be indebted to her if she willingly accepts funds she provided.”
