This Thursday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will come to Capitol Hill for meetings with Republican leadership. Given Congressman Mike Bishop’s implicit endorsement of Donald Trump, will he sit down for a meeting to iron out plans for the Trump Ticket, like campaign travel or joint Trump fundraisers?
After Donald Trump won the Republican nomination last Tuesday, Bishop said he was “prepared to support his party’s nominee” – despite dozens of national Republicans running as far away and as fast as they can.
“Amazingly, Mike Bishop thinks that Donald Trump should be President of the United States, endorsing his intention to punish women for getting abortions, mass deportations of immigrants, and more. Surely he will take this opportunity, with Trump on Capitol Hill, to sit down and iron out plans for this fantastically damaging Trump-Bishop ticket,” said Sacha Haworth of the DCCC.
