Will Nicole Malliotakis Condemn the Republican Party’s Attacks on Congressman Rose While in Uniform?

Hours Into His Deployment, NRCC Attacks Congressman and Combat Veteran

Hours after Congressman Max Rose activated with the National Guard to help set up hospitals in his Staten Island district as New York City is the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, the National Republican Congressional Committee viciously attacked him, accusing the combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient of not caring enough about the ongoing public health crisis.

As he prepared for his deployment yesterday, Rose made it clear that his attention was fully on the crisis at hand, telling local news “politics right now could not matter less.” A message obviously lost on the NRCC.

Republicans also attacked then-candidate Rose during his deployment in 2018.

Will Nicole Malliotakis, who has been propped up by the Committee, condemn these attacks?

“Congressman Rose is literally on the frontlines, working alongside his brothers and sisters of the National Guard during this devastating public health crisis. Meanwhile, the National Republican Congressional Committee is leveling cowardly and disgusting attacks against him while he is unable to respond,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “This represents the worst kind of politics and Nicole Malliotakis must immediately and unequivocally condemn these vicious and disgusting attacks against the Congressman.”
