Will Peter Oberacker Condemn New York Young Republicans And Their Racist, Anti-Muslim Tweet?

Last night, the New York Young Republican Club posted a blatantly racist tweet on social media stating that Muslim people do not “fit into America.”
The post is the latest example of the GOP club’s disturbing pattern of extremist rhetoric and bigotry. In December, the far-right group invited Markus Frohnmaier, a far-right German politician and leader in the extremist AfD party, to their annual gala.Months earlier, a bombshell investigation revealed that Peter Oberacker’s close political allies and friends, Bobby Walker and Peter Giunta, played prominent roles in a vile GOP group chat where leaders of the state party called rape “epic,” fantasized about putting their opponents in gas chambers, used countless racist slurs, and joked about their love of Hitler.

Both Walker – who was set to become Oberacker’s campaign manager – and Giunta were at Oberacker’s congressional campaign launch just eight days before Politico reported they were central figures in the GOP hate chat scandal. Yet, he has repeatedly refused to take a stand and denounce the dangerous extremism in his own political circles.

The question is simple: Will Oberacker strongly condemn the New York Young Republican Club and their racist, anti-Muslim post – or stay silent once again?

Upstate New Yorkers deserve an answer.
