Curbelo can try and run as fast as he can from dysfunctional House Republicans and Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, but as WBFS made clear: “Curbelo has tried to present himself as a moderate Republican … Curbelo, however, still votes with his fellow Republicans on most issues, including measures to repeal Obamacare, opposing gun control, building the Keystone pipeline, and limiting a woman’s right to choose an abortion.”
The South Florida community has a good memory and won’t be stricken with amnesia when listening to Carlos Curbelo float the idea of supporting a Democrat for the Presidency in November.
“If Carlos Curbelo thinks that floating the idea of supporting a Democrat will make South Floridians forget his tenure in Congress spent acquiescing to Speaker Ryan and anti-immigrant House Republicans, then he will be in for a huge surprise,” said DCCC Spokesman Jermaine House. “Nobody knows who the real Carlos Curbelo is anymore, but voters will remember that they can’t count on him to take a stand.”
