Extremist GOP Representative and alleged sexual harasser Madison Cawthorn continued to spew dangerous lies about the 2020 Presidential Election this weekend, saying “if our election systems continue to be rigged, continue to be stolen, then it’s going to lead to one place, and it’s bloodshed.”
In disturbing comments, Cawthorn went even further and alarmingly implied he would resort to using a gun to defend against ‘voter fraud’ in the future, saying, “there is nothing that I would dread doing more than having to pick up arms against a fellow American.”
“In case Cawthorn forgot, Extremist Republicans like him spreading lies about our election already led to bloodshed at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th,” said DCCC Spokesperson Chris Taylor. ”Since the Capitol attack, Cawthorn and his Extremist GOP Ringleaders NRCC Chair Tom Emmer and Kevin McCarthy have obstructed bipartisan fact-finding missions and continued to gaslight the American people. Every House Republican should answer to whether or not they agree with Cawthorn’s dangerous, divisive, and deadly rhetoric.”
