Republicans just woke up to a harsh reality: Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s prohibitive frontrunner.
“It’s clear that Republicans are in a state of panic at the prospect of Donald Trump being at the top of the ticket,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “The question today is simple: will Congressman Blum pledge to support Trump if he is the nominee?”

Despite all of Trump’s offensive and embarrassing antics, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy stated that he’ll “work with Donald Trump,” NRCC Chairman Greg Walden compared Trump to Ronald Reagan, and Speaker Ryan has pledged to support Trump if he is the nominee.
But the Republican Party is not without dissenters. Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse came out forcefully against Trump, even saying that he could leave the Republican Party if Trump wins the nomination. Additionally, we’ve seen an increasing amount of Representatives claim they can never support Trump.
Blum’s constituents have had to endure his non-stop campaigning and attention seeking since Republican presidential candidates started coming to Iowa last year. Last year alone, he campaigned with failed candidate after failed candidate, including Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, and Ben Carson.
What we don’t know is where Congressman Rod Blum stands.
Blum has been conspicuously quiet since Trump took the reins of the Republican Party. Republicans have admitted that Trump would be a down-ballot disaster. House GOP polling indicated that “a plurality of respondents — 48 percent to 40 percent — would be less likely to vote for a Republican congressional candidate or incumbent if Trump were the nominee.”
