Will Ryan Mackenzie Sign Discharge Petition to Force a Vote on a 3-Year ACA Tax Credit Extension?

The petition has 214 signatures and needs only four Republicans to force a vote to prevent skyrocketing premiums. Why hasn’t Mackenzie signed on?

Time is running out to prevent Pennsylvanians’ health care premiums from skyrocketing.

Congressman Ryan Mackenzie has joined meaningless letters claiming that he wants to do something about the issue. But when push comes to shove, Mackenzie has so far refused to sign onto a measure that would force a vote in the House to extend ACA tax credits for three years.

Only four Republican signatures are needed to prevent health care costs from skyrocketing. Lehigh Valley voters deserve to know: Why has Mackenzie refused to act?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Hardworking Lehigh Valley families are about to see their health care costs skyrocket because Congressman Mackenzie has refused to take action. If Mackenzie was remotely serious about preventing skyrocketing health care costs, he would join 214 of his colleagues in backing a commonsense measure to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. It’s put up or shut up time for Mackenzie.”
