Will Tom Kean Jr. Sign Discharge Petition to Force a Vote on a 3-Year ACA Tax Credit Extension?

The petition has 214 signatures and needs only four Republicans to force a vote to prevent skyrocketing premiums. Why hasn’t Kean Jr. signed on?

Time is running out to prevent New Jerseyans’ health care premiums from skyrocketing.

Congressman Tom Kean Jr. has joined meaningless letters claiming that he wants to do something about the issue. But when push comes to shove, Kean Jr. has so far refused to sign onto a measure that would force a vote in the House to extend ACA tax credits for three years.

Only four Republican signatures are needed to prevent health care costs from skyrocketing. New Jersey voters deserve to know: Why has Kean Jr. refused to act?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Tom Kean Jr. represents everything that voters hate about career politicians. If Kean Jr. was remotely serious about preventing skyrocketing health care costs, he would join 214 of his colleagues in backing a commonsense measure to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. He refuses to do so because he would rather play political games than actually act to help hardworking New Jersey families.”
