Today, the chaotic Republican caucus elected Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House.
In case you haven’t heard of him, here’s a bit about Johnson:

Johnson pushed for a total abortion ban without exceptions and voted for legislation to punish doctors for providing essential reproductive care.

Johnson led the efforts to slash Social Security and Medicare as the chair of the Republican Study Committee.

Johnson was instrumental in the plan to overturn the 2020 election – the New York Times named him “the most important architect of the Electoral College objections.”

Johnson voted against the PACT Act, which would provide resources to support our nation’s veterans.
