WVEC: Protesters Rally Against Healthcare Increases In Front of Rep. Kiggans’ Virginia Beach Office

Kiggans has fled Washington as Virginians face skyrocketing costs
Virginia Congresswoman Jen Kiggans is facing protests from her own constituents as their health care costs are set to skyrocket. 

Kiggans chose to skip town instead of negotiating to prevent skyrocketing premiums. Kiggans has also admitted she opposes extending ACA tax credits beyond just one year, saying: “We don’t need these.”

Local groups and residents in Virginia Beach rallied outside U.S. Representative Jen Kiggans’ office to demand she “stop the healthcare heist.” 

Speakers stressed that with costs rising for housing, groceries, and utilities, working families can’t afford higher health care bills, and called on Congress to protect access to care.
