Yes Bill Huizenga, Let’s Talk About Your Businesses

Here’s what Michigan voters need to know about Huizenga’s businesses and his record looking out for himself:

• Huizenga got caught paying more than $400,000 in campaign cash to his brother – who also worked as a full time real estate agent, selling condos for Huizenga’s luxury condo company. Reporting found “no other federal or state campaign [paid] [Huizenga’s brother’s LLC] for campaign services,” just Huizenga.
• Huizenga took campaign donations from a company and its executives after Huizenga’s business “reached an agreement” to lease land to the company with the company. Huizenga Gravel Co. and Huizenga Development Land LLC agreed to lease property to a business for a “proposed gravel mining and processing operation.” Then, after the township approved the project, the business and two of its founders and executives contributed to Huzienga’s campaign.
• Bill Huizenga voted to give himself and his businesses tax breaks in the Big Ugly Bill. Huizenga’s family gravel business is “receiving some of the largest corporate tax reductions in the bill.”

“Bill Huizenga is a self-serving career politician who uses his office to enrich himself and his family. He gave himself and his family business a tax break, funnelled campaign cash to his brother, and got a campaign payday after striking a business agreement – he’s working for himself, not for Michigan.”
