| On Tuesday, Democrats overperformed by a whopping 13 points in the TN-07 special election, with midterm level turnout.
With that level of overperformance on Trump’s +5.5 margin in MI-04, Democrats would flip this seat and win by more than eight points.
It’s no surprise that voters have had enough of Washington Republicans’ agenda of slashing health care, raising prices, backing reckless tariffs further hurting the farm economy, and putting billionaires and special interests first at working families’ expense.
REMINDER: Cook Political highlights how MI-04 “has been a bright spot for Democrats” and trends point to the fact that the district “could host a competitive race next year.” A new poll today found Bill Huizenga up only two percent over a Democrat with his favorability rating 12 points underwater.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“It’s a bad day to be Bill Huizenga. Democrats are on offense and we’ll compete aggressively to flip this seat – and we will win, because Michiganders are tired of Republicans’ agenda of higher costs, health care cuts, and tax breaks for billionaires.” |
