Yvette Herrell and the Republican Study Committee continue to say the quiet part out loud: They want to cut Social Security benefits for hardworking New Mexicans.
While in Congress, Yvette was a proud member of the committee when it proposed several of the same disastrous policies. Last week, Yvette’s Republican Study Committee outlined their continued support for policies that would decimate Social Security and privatize Medicare – despite seniors comprising 17% of NM-02 – and ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman.
Yvette is already on the record supporting the Republican Study Committee and its extreme agenda. New Mexico voters deserve to know if she will rejoin the committee and continue to push this radical agenda forward.
This is a stark contrast to Representative Gabe Vasquez who is a fierce advocate against cuts to Social Security and privatizing Medicare. Rep. Vasquez has been a bulwark in Congress against the attacks on abortion rights and access to IVF.

“If elected, Yvette Herrell would likely waste no time joining her extremist friends in advocating for the dangerous anti-seniors and anti-choice policies they want to force on New Mexicans. After all, she has done it before. Voters can’t afford Social Security cuts, privatized Medicare, or politicians telling them why, when, and how to have a baby. Yvette is grossly out of touch with New Mexicans and she’ll be reminded of that when she loses to Gabe Vasquez, again.”
