Yvette Herrell Chooses Trump over Seniors

Trump and Yvette are helping pharmaceutical companies take advantage of seniors

It’s no secret that a Trump presidency would be disastrous for seniors trying to get basic, affordable health care – and Yvette Herrell in Congress would be no different.

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, which Yvette voted against, the over 120,000 seniors in New Mexico’s Second Congressional District can now get insulin for no more than $35 a month and free Shingles vaccines. But recent Axios reporting reveals how Trump can undo the progress made through the Inflation Reduction Act.

Through the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare is also negotiating costs for 10 initial drugs helping seniors get the care they need. Yvette’s vote against the legislation means she chose corporations over:

  • Seniors with diabetes

  • Seniors with blood cancer

  • Seniors with psoriasis and other inflammatory disorders

  • Seniors with autoimmune disease

  • Seniors with heart failure

DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“We all know that Yvette Herrell is Trump’s partner in crime to cater to Big Pharma. She will gladly throw New Mexican seniors under the bus for CEOs. Voters know they can’t trust her to lower health care costs – that’s why they voted against her twice and they won’t let her enact her dangerous agenda in Congress.”
