James Comer was accused of domestic abuse by an ex-girlfriend, who also says the anti-choice politician took her to get an abortion
Yvette Herrell has a new best friend who she’s shamelessly cozying up with in D.C. A likely topic of conversation between Herrell and James Comer? Plotting their next attacks on women’s rights and safety.
These serious allegations didn’t stop Herrell from happily letting Comer host a fundraiser for her. Yvette Herrell proudly voted against the Violence Against Women Act, which protects women from violence and abuse and provides essential support to survivors seeking legal tools and the resources necessary to prevent further violence, seek justice, and receive care.
In line with that crusade, Herrell co-sponsored legislation that would ban all abortions nationwide and could ban certain types of birth control such as IUDs. Herrell then doubled-down and spoke against the Equal Rights Amendment because of her extreme anti-choice views.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“It’s no coincidence that Yvette Herrell and James Comer are good friends. They’re both hell-bent on forcing their extreme and harmful anti-woman agenda on voters. New Mexicans did not stand for it in 2022 and they’ll make that clear once again at the ballot box this November.”
