Yesterday, the Biden administration announced the first set of 10 medicines that Medicare will finally have the power to directly negotiate the price of thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act – a law Yvette Herrell opposed in Congress.
Drugs to fight cancer, diabetes, and heart disease will be more affordable for New Mexicans – no thanks to Yvette Herrell.
In addition to this newly announced reform, the Inflation Reduction Act is already saving New Mexicans money by capping the cost of insulin to $35 per month for qualifying households and making the Shingles vaccination free.
If Yvette Herrell had her way, New Mexicans would be paying more for prescription drugs.
DCCC spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Yvette Herrell voted against lowering prescription drug costs for New Mexico families, and instead stood by Big Pharma. She cannot be trusted.”
