Last month, Yvette Herrell proudly announced legislation to rush aid to conspiracy theorists. The announcement was a slap in the face to working families who are struggling in New Mexico and across the United States, stymying cargo shipments at a time when supply chains are already stretched.
Last night, Herrell further clarified her priorities by voting against critical aid to Ukraine. While obviously eager to prop up conspiracy theorists, she was just as quick to turn her back on the people of Ukraine as they fight to preserve freedom and democracy.
Herrell’s legislative priorities continue to prove that she is uninterested in standing up for New Mexicans. Her constituents deserve to know why Herrell has chosen conspiracies and the right-wing fringe over democracy and the people of Ukraine.
