This week, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled to allow an 1864 abortion ban – with no exceptions for rape or incest and that criminalizes anyone who helps a patient get an abortion – to stand. Yvette Herrell celebrated the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, paving the way for the archaic and cruel abortion ban.
Herrell has also supported multiple anti-abortion bills in both the New Mexico legislature and Congress, including national bans.
Despite her clear record, in a pathetic attempt to mislead voters, Herrell intentionally scrubbed all mentions of abortion from her campaign website. Then when asked by KOAT to respond to the blatantly calculated move, Herrell attempted to dodge responsibility, claiming “abortion policies are no longer a federal issue,” despite sponsoring federal legislation to ban abortion.
Yvette Herrell has repeatedly supported policies that would take what’s happening in Arizona nationwide.
