Nunn backs calls to eliminate the Department of Education
Zach Nunn is proving once again that he’s a threat to Iowa’s public education. This time, he’s agreeing with calls to abolish the Department of Education, which has provided critical support for Iowa students’ K-12 programs, including grants for low-income communities and special education programs.
It’s not the first time Nunn has attacked public education. In the state legislature, he voted for precursors to Iowa’s deeply unpopular school voucher program that diverts taxpayer dollars to private and charter schools.
