Des Moines Register: Nunn “believes the legislation, which makes massive spending cuts to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, are for the best.”
Last night, Zach Nunn doubled down on his deciding vote to slash health care and food assistance for his constituents, characterizing the cuts as “for the best.”
The Des Moines Register reported that Nunn “touted” his vote that will lead to more than 24,000 people across IA-03 losing their access to health care and that jeopardizes SNAP benefits for the more than 31,000 IA-03 households – 47% of which have children – that rely on the program.

“Zach Nunn believes it’s ‘for the best’ that tens of thousands of his constituents will lose their health insurance and SNAP benefits thanks to his deciding vote to slash the programs. Nunn sold out Iowans to give tax breaks to billionaires, and Iowa voters will fire him next November.”
