After creating a health care crisis leaving Iowans at risk of losing access to lifesaving care, Zach Nunn voted to pass a disastrous health care ‘plan’ that even his Republican colleague called “ milquetoast garbage.”
Nunn’s 11th hour health care scheme will push junk insurance plans, undermine protections for people with preexisting conditions, make health care more expensive, and leave millions of Americans without health insurance because they are letting critical ACA tax credits expire – causing premiums to skyrocket.
REMINDER: Nunn said that the ACA tax credits “[have] been driving up the health-care costs for everybody” and agreed with a TV host who said he had “no problem letting those [credits] expire.” If Nunn were serious about his charade to extend health care tax credits, he’d have signed on to the discharge petition to force a vote to *actually* extend the credits weeks ago.
Nunn is to blame for the 25,000 people in IA-01 who will be forced to pay nearly double the cost for their health insurance premiums without these tax credits.
