In a revealing new interview with TIME magazine, Donald Trump gave a preview of what his second term would look like – including abortion bans and prosecuting women who receive abortion care.
Trump made the case that to fulfill his dangerous agenda he would need a Congress filled with loyal foot soldiers, specifically pleading to House Republicans: “I need allies there when I’m elected.”
Trump’s radical agenda would:
Empower states to prosecute women who have an abortion.
Allow the Life at Conception Act to become the law of the land, which would ban and essentially outlaw abortion and IVF, respectively, nationwide.
It’s clear Zach Nunn will fall in line. He voted for “the most restrictive abortion ban in the nation,” supported a constitutional amendment that would eliminate the right to an abortion in Iowa, and raised his hand in support of banning abortion nationwide with zero exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman.
