Yesterday, Donald Trump said he is open to restricting or banning birth control, saying when asked if he supports any restrictions on contraception: “We’re looking at that, and I’m going to have a policy on that very shortly, and I think it’s something that you’ll find interesting. I think it’s a smart decision. But we’ll be releasing it very soon.”
The Republican frontrunner for president has previously celebrated his “miracle” efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade and proposed a national abortion ban.
Zach Nunn will side with Trump every step of the way in the crusade to ban contraception. Nunn has previously voted for legislation that could threaten Iowans’ access to abortion, contraception, and IVF. He even raised his hand in support of banning abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the mother’s life.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Zach Nunn never passes up an opportunity to attack Iowans’ reproductive freedom and restrict contraception. There’s no question he’ll embrace his party’s plan to ban contraception.”
