By backing Project 2025 supporters, Nunn is embracing their far-right agenda
Zach Nunn’s Project 2025 is an extreme manifesto that would have far-reaching consequences if House Republicans were to win in November.
Nunn’s Project 2025 would raise health care costs and threaten access to care for hardworking American families by:
Raising costs for 3.3 million people nationwide and nearly 164,000 Iowans on Medicare by eliminating the Inflation Reduction Act caps on prescription drugs – including the $35 per month cap on insulin.
Forcing more than 13 million Americans to pay more for their health care insurance by raising premiums.
This isn’t the first time Nunn has attacked Iowans’ health care. In the state legislature, Nunn voted to undermine the ACA and threaten coverage for Iowans with pre-existing conditions, and supported the privatization of Medicaid, a move that was called a “disaster” for Iowa.
READ MORE: This week, the DCCC released a memo on how House Republicans have already embraced Project 2025 extremism in Congress.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Zach Nunn has failed to lower costs for families for the past two years – which is bad enough. Now, Nunn is pledging to raise health care costs for families. This is exactly the kind of political games that have turned voters off of Nunn’s Project 2025 agenda, and it’s why Iowans will retire him in November.”
