Brian Fitzpatrick is dodging questions like a turtle hiding in its shell.
Fitzpatrick has refused to comment on major reporting from POLITICO which revealed that he is using fake citations in his attack ads that are written by a convicted felon and longtime personal friend who he has directly paid.
POLITICO reported that Fitzpatrickās ads use fake Patch.com posts written by āDave Sommers, a Levittown, Pennsylvania, man with close ties to Fitzpatrick and a checkered history with law enforcement.ā Sommers, who even attended Fitzpatrickās wedding, is a federally convicted felon who was sentenced to prison time for trafficking protected turtles. Fitzpatrick has paid Sommers thousands of dollars.
The bombshell report has led to a wave of national and local coverage raising fresh questions that Fitzpatrick has refused to address.
Bucks and Montgomery County voters deserve to know: Why has Fitzpatrick paid a federally convicted felon, and why is FitzpatrickĀ using the felonās fake articles in his attack ads?Ā
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
āBrian Fitzpatrick owes Bucks and Montgomery County voters answers. Fitzpatrick refuses to explain why he paid a federally convicted felon, or whether he coordinated with a felon on his false attack ads. Itās clear that spending nearly a decade in Washington has changed Fitzpatrick and he has completely lost his way.ā
