| Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick wasn’t on the ballot on Tuesday night, but there’s no denying he was one of the biggest losers.
Democrats’ dominant performance across Bucks County confirms that Fitzpatrick is incredibly vulnerable heading into 2026.

- Bucks County’s vote tally lit up like a blue-light special early Wednesday morning as it became clear that the Democrats had taken back full control of the county government and many municipal elections.
- Why? It was the big question, especially as the Bucks Republicans have a more than 10,000 edge over Democrats in voter registration. The answer may lie with President Donald Trump.
- This year, with people fearing the loss of SNAP food benefits and health insurance, and both the country and state governments in stalemates over budget negotiations, the picture is far bleaker.
- State Sen. Steve Santarsiero, D-10, who serves as chair of the county Democratic Party, said he thought the Dems would win but “didn’t think it would be of this magnitude. This is really unprecedented….a tsunami,” he said.
- He added he thinks next year’s congressional election against incumbent Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick just got more interesting.
- “I think this shows that frankly all the races next year are winnable,” Santarsiero said.
- Fitzpatrick […] could not be reached for comment Wednesday morning.
