Vulnerable Republican Mike Lawler is continuing to stand by disgraced Congressman and alleged domestic abuser Max Miller.
Following reporting that Miller donated $10,000 to Lawler’s campaign this cycle, CNN pressed Lawler on whether or not he would return the money. Instead of taking accountability, Lawler has resorted to attacking women on twitter.
And Lawler’s response when asked if he believes Miller? “I know Max very well…the allegations have not been verified.”
CNN: You received $10,000 from Congressman Miller’s PAC this election cycle. Your campaign spokesman told Politico you have no plans to return the money…Why have you decided not to return the $10,000?
Lawler: …I know Max very well…This is something that should play out in family court…
CNN: It sounds like you’re saying that you’re not returning the donations because you believe him.
Lawler: This is a private family matter…Ultimately there’s been nothing that has been corroborated here…
CNN: Why not just give the money back?
Lawler: …You have this situation where the allegations have not been verified.
