| Vulnerable Republican Mike Lawler is doubling down on his support for Trump’s cost-spiking war in Iran, deeming it a “righteous decision” as New York families continue to feel pain at the pump.
But when Lawler refused to admit that inflation and gas prices have risen, CNN used his own affordability ad against him.
Kaitlin Collins: “Inflation is up higher now than it was when the President took office, and gas prices are almost $1 higher…If this war had not started, and it wouldn’t be in the place that it is now, [Americans] wouldn’t be paying $1 more for gas when they go fill up.”
If Lawler is so committed to campaigning on lowering costs, why does he think gas prices spiking to $4.13 in New York is “absolutely worth it?”
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler can’t help but remind voters of his broken promises every chance he gets. After running on a promise to lower costs for Hudson Valley families, he’s done nothing but screw them over.”
