Bresnahan faces scrutiny in the local press after he admitted on audio that he spoke to his financial advisor about his upcoming stock positions

Rob Bresnahan is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Local news outlets are scrutinizing Bresnahan after he admitted on audio to speaking with his financial advisor about his upcoming stock positions after insisting for months that he had not.

Fox 56 reports that “Bresnahan has since faced criticism over potential conflicts of interest related to his investment portfolio while voting in Congress,” and WNEP reports that “Bresnahan’s stock trading has followed him since taking office.”

Watch and read the coverage for yourself:

Fox56 WOLF Reporter: “Bresnahan has since faced criticism over potential conflicts of interest related to his investment portfolio while voting in Congress.”
WNEP Reporter: “Bresnahan’s stock trading has followed him since taking office in 2025 because he campaigned on banning trading for those in Congress. Cognetti says she wants to make it illegal.”
“Cognetti called Bresnahan’s statements ‘sickening’ and said ‘he can’t even be honest with us about how he talks to, how frequently he talks to and if he talks to his financial adviser.’”
“The stock-trading issue has dogged Bresnahan, who campaigned on […] banning congressional stock trading, since an April New York Times report identified him as ‘one of the most active stock traders in the freshman class.’”
