| Despite Florida Republicans’ shameless attempts to rig the maps in their favor, new polling shows Congresswoman Kathy Castor is leading both top Republican contenders in Florida’s 14th Congressional District.
Reporting suggests Republicans’ dummymander “underestimat[ed] the incumbent [they] meant to bury,” as Castor leads Republican Mike Beltran by 8 points and Kevin Steele by 7.
The poll is just the latest sign that Floridians have soured on Republicans’ reckless agenda of broken promises, and that momentum is on Castor’s side: “On paper, Republicans should win this seat by double digits. The poll says otherwise.”
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Republicans thought they could rig the game and hand themselves this seat. Instead, their dummymander is blowing up in their faces. Tampa voters are sticking with Kathy Castor because she delivers and is the fighter Floridians deserve. She’s on track to continue serving them in Congress this November.”
