🚨 Inside Elections: 11 House Races Move In Democrats’ Favor

While Democratic voters turn out in massive numbers in primary elections across the country, new projections from the non-partisan race-rater Inside Elections shift the midterm map even further in Democrats’ favor.

  • IA-03 – Rep. Zach Nunn: Lean Republican → Tilt Republican
  • NJ-07 – Rep. Tom Kean Jr.: Toss-up → Tilt Democratic
  • NC-11 – Rep. Chuck Edwards: Likely Republican → Lean Republican
  • OH-07 – Rep. Max Miller: Solid Republican → Likely Republican
  • PA-08 – Rep. Rob Bresnahan: Tilt Republican → Toss-up
  • TX-15 – Rep. Monica De La Cruz: Likely Republican → Lean Republican
  • WI-03 – Rep. Derrick Van Orden: Tilt Republican → Toss-Up

Just this week, Rep. Monica De La Cruz noted (privately) that she is ahead in her Trump +18 district by “only one point.” Similarly, Rep. Max Miller said his race is going to be “tough.”

Democrats are expanding the battlefield while Republicans are defending vulnerable incumbents who have failed to deliver for the communities they are supposed to represent. Just three Democratic-held seats are rated as toss-ups. Meanwhile, vulnerable House Republicans are defending 11 toss-ups.

These latest shifts indicate that Democrats have momentum behind us to win back the House in November.

DCCC Communications Director Courtney Rice:
“Democrats are on offense with strong, authentic, and battle-tested candidates who are laser-focused on lowering costs for hardworking American families. These ratings changes are a sign that our candidates are resonating with voters, and it’s only poised to get worse for Republicans as they try to hide their record of broken promises from the American people.”
