New poll first reported by POLITICO shows Figures and Marques tied at 46% – the second public poll to show a dead heat in AL-02
Breaking: New DCCC polling first reported on by POLITICO Morning Score shows that the race for Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District starts out in a dead heat.
The poll shows Congressman Shomari Figures and Rhett Marques tied with 46% of the vote. Congressman Figures also receives high marks in the poll for his performance in Congress, with a +14 job approval rating.
This is now the second poll in recent weeks that shows Congressman Figures and Marques are in a pure toss up race. National Journal previously reported on a June poll showing a statistical tie in the race.

While Shomari Figures shows up and delivers for the people of Alabama, his opponent Rhett Marques has been supporting tax increases and policies that raise prices on working people.
