🚨 RATINGS CHANGE: Cook Political Report Shifts OH-10 in Democrats’ Direction

Nonpartisan race-rater Cook Political Report just moved Ohio’s 10th District in Democrats’ direction — the latest sign that voters are ready to flip the district after Mike Turner’s votes against Southwest Ohioans’ interests.

In part, Cook writes:

  • There are signs that even an incumbent Turner may still have a tough race this cycle, warranting a ratings change from Solid to Likely Republican.
  • Knickerbocker, an Air Force veteran and nurse practitioner, won a contested primary in May and has the sort of profile that could resonate in a district with a massive military presence.
  • Turner is a weak fundraiser, and Knickerbocker actually outraised him in the last quarter, $250,000 to $140,000.
  • Turner is under 50% — not a particularly strong position for an incumbent.
  • Democrats are hoping to make Turner’s long tenure in Congress a liability, and they are likely to resurface previous allegations of self-enrichment to paint him as corrupt.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Alarm bells are ringing for Mike Turner, who will be held accountable for his record of gutting health care, raising prices, supporting reckless tariffs that are decimating the economy, and refusing to face his constituents. Turner is more vulnerable than ever and will lose this November.
