| The nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted South Carolina’s 1st District in Democrats’ direction.
This is the latest sign that this open seat is in play just like in 2018, when Democrats “pulled off an upset” and flipped this district.
Cook writes in part that “the combination of an open seat and…well-funded [Democratic candidates] means the GOP can’t take the race for granted.”
Regardless of which toxic Republican comes limping out of next week’s runoff election, it is clear they are more focused on serving Washington than serving the people of South Carolina.
