🚨 RATINGS CHANGE: Cook Political Report Shifts VA-01 to TOSS UP As Momentum Continues to Build Behind Shannon Taylor

Non-partisan race rater Cook Political Report just shifted Virginia’s 1st Congressional District in Shannon Taylor’s direction – moving the race to TOSS UP after polling from The Washington Post showed her ahead of nearly 20-year incumbent Rep. Rob Wittman.

Cook notes in part: “New polling conducted by the Washington Post showed Democratic nominee Shannon Taylor leading GOP Rep. Rob Wittman by four points, 50%-46%… it’s clear that Wittman no longer is the favorite.”

They add in their analysis: “…the trendlines in this district bode poorly for Republicans, and Wittman has not faced a serious challenge until now.”
